Boxee releases Boxee Remote Application for iPhone, iPod touch

Thanks to the recently-released Boxee Remote application, users can now control Boxee from their iPhone or iPod touch. c1188dcc2c297a9f1ab67a0b756b90a0

If you’re using Boxee on your Apple TV, Mac mini, iPhone or iPod touch, things just got a bit easier for you thanks to the Boxee Remote application, which recently appeared on the App Store.

The application works via WiFi and has two main modes. The first option is Gesture Mode, which works a bit like a joystick. To move the cursor, all you have to do is drag the Boxee logo around the screen, and you can click the logo to select items or start and stop media.

The other mode, Buttons Mode, works more like a remote control and offers up, down, left and right buttons, as well as an “OK” button. Both modes use the iPhone keyboard for text entry whenever users click a text field, so text input is nice and easy.

The application is free, so if you use Boxee a lot and have an iPhone, try it!
