This is has transcended into the online world as well…and the latest con artist, lecure_mint_by_teruchanading the way in terms of cash-heists and fraud, is the rogue anti-spyware application: PC Privacy Defender.

Do not get fooled by this rogue scam. PC Privacy Defender is NOT a security enhancement tool, and will not safeguard any computer system against malware, spyware, adware or virus infections.

Also referred to as: PCPrivacyDefender, PCPrivacy Defender has been designed with a sole purpose in mind: to provide immense income to the hackers who created it.

So, how does this parasite operate? PC Privacy Defender propagates itself via Trojan applications, the likes of Vundo or even Zlob, which are merely associates of PC Privacy Defender, used to assist with the obscure intrusion of PC Privacy Defender trialware into the victim’s system, all these tactics will presumably result in the unsuspecting user of the infected system being mislead into purchasing the full version of the malicious malware.

The most common signs of PC Privacy Defender presence on a computer are its use of fake system scanners and the bombardment of multiple pop-up messages, which claim that the machine is in serious jeopardy due to a multitude of viruses.

As is quintessential to the plot of this devious plan, once the fake scan results are given, the user will then be led to believe that the only suggested remedy for removing the falsely detected risks will be for the user to install the PC Privacy Defender registered version, which demands payment.

This is the most important fact to remember if nothing else is: PC Privacy Defender is NOT capable of fixing any computer problems and resolving privacy issues, because it is NOT a legitimate security product.

PC Privacy Defender is highly capable of causing major Operating System trouble, once embedded within a computer system. Your best bet would be to remove PC Privacy Defender if your system has been infected.
